My last bike was a Huffy when I was pre-teen so you can understand how new I am to riding. There isn't a bike rack on my car, so I'll need to find a place close enough to have it professionally fit and then I can ride it home. Supposedly there are some great bike shops in the area, but I haven't been able to locate one that deals Specialized and close enough for a beginner rider. Any suggestions?

I live in Tustin and don't know of any good shops in Irvine. I bought my bike @ Jax Irvine, but they had such poor customer service that I'd never buy from there again. Plus, they are insanely overpriced and take advantage of the uninformed in the repair shop.
The Path bike shop in Tustin is one of the best shops around. They are very friendly, although it is a tad intimidating the first time you go in there. In fact, I bet an employee would give you a ride home.
Switchback Cyclery in Orange is another great shop. I've bought a couple of accessories there and they have always been willing to help me out.
Rock N Road has a good reputation amongst bikers. My buddy loves taking his bike there because they clean it up and make it feel like new again.
Here is a link to a forum that has Local Bike Shop (LBS) reviews, mostly Orange County.

Where can I purchase cycling apparel in Orange County?

RetroBunny
I'm new to cycling and I would like to purchase some cycling apparel that won't embarrass me on a bike path.... Where can I purchase them in Orange County area and which brand is good?
If you know any good website other than eBay, please let me know. Thanks.

I'm assuming that you mean OC, California and not Florida. Performancebike.com is a good place to start. Their prices are quite low and there are shops in Tustin, Fountain Valley, and Laguna Hills that you can walk into and purchase stuff. Other places to buy cycling apparel are other bike shops. Not all bike shops sell clothing so check around. As for which brand is good, you can't go wrong with Pearl Izumi. They are durable and look smart. Another to come to mind- particularly on jerseys- is Voler. There are countless more and to be completely honest, I've even had good experience with Performance in house brand apparel. You' re going to pay a bit for cycling apparel but it's worth every penny.
Good luck with your purchasing.
