Where is a nice bike trail near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco?

Me and my Boyfriend are driving to SF Monday to go bike riding. I want to start at the Golden Gate Bridge and ride across, and around the area. Not in the Fishermans Wharf area, but more on a scenic route. Anyone know where a nice area is?

Are Schwinn bikes durable and good quality?

I am college student looking for a bike that will last me for at least 5 years. I went to Target today and saw some Schwinn bikes for a really good price. Since I go to school in the bay area, I want to make sure I can ride the bike with no problems on the bay bridge, golden gate bridge, uphills, downhills, and sometimes near rivers. I am not an expert in bikes, so I would appreciate your assistance and advise. Also, since I am in college, I a have a budget of $200 for a bike.

If Target sells it, it's low quality JUNK ! I'd go to Performance Bikes and see what they have on sale. It's a real bike store and that's all they sell.
The Target bike won't last with adult riding.
