I'm 5'4 and 113 lbs and my arms are NOT strong at all so I'm sure you can see my struggles. I am a beginner I've only ridden by myself about 3 times but i have the same problem every time. I love riding and plan to buy my own bike, your opinions will help me so much thanks a million!

Answer
there are several very good beginner bikes that would fit your size, and I would recommend something in the 90cc up to 150cc range in a non-racing version 4 stroke, like the Yamaha TTR, Kawasaki KLX, Suzuki DRZ or Honda CRF (not the CRF150R which is a race bike). all of these are fairly tame mid-size bikes that should be suitable for your size & weight. any of these are very dependable and relatively low maintenance. they have decent power with a lot of torque to put put around trails, yet quick enough to get you moving pretty fast.

none of these are true race bikes and will have limited suspension adjustments and adequate brakes but are great beginner bikes and offer alot of hours of fun.

once you build up some confidence and experience, if you are about the same size, you can then move to any of the 85-100cc big wheel 2 stroke MX style bikes or the CRF150R but these will be much more powerful & quicker as they are race bikes with full up suspension and braking components.

When did Honda change the handle bars on their c105 trail?

I have 2- one is based on the c100 scooter with rearview mirrors and the other is with "modern" style riser handle bars. Need to title one and want the manufacture date for the title.

Answer
William,,none of those ever came originally with the type bars you describe.

All the Trail Bikes came with stamped sheet metal bars,,"Cub50 style".

The 90's were the first with tubular ,,Modern style bars
CT200---Pushrod engine Trail 90's.

...................................
Nothing unusual on bikes that age to see things like Front Ends Changed,,or converted for the Newer Bars,,
Or anything else ya can imagine.

Or,,,You might have an actual 90cc bike.....??

Best way to ID them is via Frame Number,,
and Engine Number.

50's
start with CA100T-xxxxxx
or C100T-xxxxxx
............................................
55cc's
C105T-xxxx is a '62~'63
CA105T-xxx ='63~'65

The Very Early ones had LOW exhaust(Same as Cub 50's,,Flat)
And No front Fenders.

'63>on had Upswept exhaust and Chrome front fender,,,
Mounted up under the Fork's "triple clamp"---Modern "MX Style"
............................

Pushrod 90's are CT200-xxxx

Overhead Cam 90's started in '66 and are CT90-xxxx

..........................................................
It's VERY difficult to establish exact year,,,

Serial Number is the only clue,,,
and is NOT precise because of how things were done back then.
