I have a small motor bike pump that plugged into my car's cigarette lighter. I want to connect it to a power supply in the house. Be able to plug it into a standard electric wall socket. I've tried the car-to-wall adapters, where you plug your male cigarette lighter thingy into the adapter which plugs into the wall. But it in no way runs the little pump. Research told me that the lighter of a car puts out 12 volts and 10 amps. And since this pump plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car, it must require an equivalent electrical supply. So my question is, where can I find the required electric supply to run this pump in my home or garage? It says it requires 10 volts DC but doesn't give the amps.
Simply stated, something that plugged into my cigarette lighter needs to be plugged into my house. How to do it?
Thanks.

A small 110v compressor would probably be cheaper than a 12 volt power supply. But, you can get 12 volt supplies with cigarette lighter outlets from Radio Shack, Amazon or anywhere else that sells electronics. Something like http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-13-8-Volt-Cigarette-Lighter-Adapter/dp/B0002BA57A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1365433146&sr=8-2&keywords=power+supply+12+volts+cigarette
You probably need at least 10 amps for things like 12 volt compressors, and they aren't cheap.
