riding your bike with your dog image

Lovely
I tried to train my two labs this afternoon... and my dogs refused to walk beside me or walk at all. They are pretty good on the leash alone, but I desire to walk the dogs while I ride my bike. What should I do to make the cooperate?
Answer
Buy a bike attachment. it's safer than leashes and keeps your dogs in certain positions so they don't pull you, pull the bike out from under you, etc.

Why does my dog want to park at people who ride bikes and white cars?

iPowers
When we take my dog on a ride in the car and she ends up seeing a car that is white or people who ride on bikes she gets all mad and starts barking at them in the car like it ticks her off. She never used to do this until like August of 2007. Why is she doing this and what makes her do this all of a sudden when she never used to before and waht can we do to make her stop?
Answer
I have no idea why dogs bark at certain things, but perhaps she was frightened by a white car on a walk, or saw a big scary dog in a white car??? Bicycles seem to cause barking frequently, even in my quiet dog, perhaps because they are people perceived as doing strange things. Not walking, but moving very fast. Or again maybe the dog has been frightened by a bike while on a walk.
My dog started barking at certain things when I driving him to doggy day care. He was excited and it was almost as if he was yelling "Hi I'm going to day care. Yea!" It started with cows, and has progressed to cows, horses, people walking dogs or pushing strollers, bikes, motorcycles and sometimes runners. It only happens when he is excited and anticipating something fun. For him it is a release of energy and a game - see how smart I am? See how fast I can spot a motorcycle?
I can tell him there is nothing to bark at, and he will look around and be quiet and watch for the next thing that needs barking.
