I cant afford a Cannondale or Trek, and my price range is about up to $300. Are there any decent road bikes out there that will get the job done for me? I ride in the 75-150 mile range depending on the amount of time, and Im not looking for anything special, just reliable and durable. I currently have a hybrid bike but its terrible for riding after 30 miles because of the weight and tire size.

$300? No one - and I do mean no one makes a decent road bike for $300. Look through craigslist for a quality used bicycle. Even then...$300 is fairly low end.
You could up your price to about $500 to $600 and get a good bike from Bikes Direct. Link below. You assemble the bike. They ship free via UPS.
