Hi Team,
For the casual/moderate adult biker, what brand(s) of road bike would you recommend? I'd like to focus my search on 4-5 brands.
Do you recommend a specific bike shop in Atlanta/Marietta Georgia? FreeFlite (Canton Road) and Vinings Schwinn have been recommended; any others? Thank you, Jeff
Answer
Google bike shops + zip code and you will see all of the bike shops in your area on a map. Look at Giant, Fuji, Schwinn for best bang for the buck or any of the last years models.

Can I get a relatively good road bike for <$800?

I want to get a relatively good road bike, with 18 or more gears, and was wondering if I could get one for less than $800. If so, give some general recommendations.
Answer
$800 will start getting you a good bike. It depends how you define good, of course, some people compete actively and don't start considering a bike adequate under $3 000. But for most people, $800 is what I would call a lower range good bike (i.e. it's not the top of the line, but it's a very decent bicycle.) - If you're looking for a stunt bike or something like that, $800 is not a lot - these are very sturdy and tend to be expensive.
I recently bought an hybrid - A Norco Roma for about that price. I am very happy with it.
