Well you are riding a racing MX bike on the road.
The bike / engine & gearing is not made to just sit there and rev out like that.
Use the bike for what it was intended for.

Can I ride my bike once my broken ankle is healed?

Benjamin
I broke my ankle riding my bike (BMX) I have to get a plate put in. My question is, can I return to it after? And if I broke it again would that be bad?
Answer
You probably can once there is no pain but I would ask your doctor how long you can wait to get back on the bike.
And how to take care of yourself until then.
I think riders like Danny MacAskill (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj6ho1-G6tw) have broken numerous body parts and are still riding. (after proper care and rest)
"The worst injury Iâve had is breaking my collarbone three times in a row in 6 months. I broke it at Oakleyâs bump track, again in Edinburgh and then in California when riding with Gee Atherton."

"He has struggled with injury a lot this year, and on this shoot in particular he's had a lot of pain in his knee -- there was just a lot of painkillers involved," says Thomson.
