I'm not referring to a scooter or moped, but an electric assisted bicycle.
Answer
depends on where you live .
i just built an elec bike for myself, its great. i dint peddle at all.
here in florida elec assist bike laws.
must not be more than 750 watt motor and not faster than 20 mph.
i think have to be over 16 years old.
no reg or lic required ,
can ride where ever bike riding is legal.
but you will have to google your states laws to see what it says.
most places they are legal if they have peddles
i have a cheap china made front wheel 500 watt 36 volt hub motor that i bought on line .
the kit included everything , even the 36 volt batt charger. the tirre everything , but not the batts.
it cost was $230 including free shipping.
it is actually better than i expected it would be.
its been 2 months as so far so good. goes about 25 mph with no assist.

in Missouri is it legal to drive a motorized bike on city streets?

Dalton She
im 16, have a motorcycle endorsement on my drivers license and want to know if i can drive one for a little while. if i have to have mirrors or anything special on it pleas tell me below
Answer
Depends on the wattage for the motor. There's a federal law that all states have to follow. Normal electric bikes are required to be under 750 watts and 20 mph. If so, the states have to treat them like bicycles.
