Are there any road racing bikes which look like triathlon bikes for under $1600?

Im looking to buy a road racing bike which has the style of frame similar to a triathlon bike, such as the Kestrel talon sl, within a price range of $1600.

I want to keep the price $500 and under. I want one that will last a while. I have no riding experience. I want one for long distance rides before school before traffic starts. Any suggestions/ websites?

Either a good used Trek, Specialized, Cannondale or Giant will do nicely. Additional brands you might find in that price range would be Lemond, and older Kestrels. Make sure you get the proper size. You might want to go slightly larger if you expect that you will be growing a goodly amount. He is a web site to get the correct size. Choose road bike and complete the info.

If you expect to get a larger bike for growth purposes, You would not want to go taller than having to slightly stand on your toes when straddling the bike. You will get about 1/2 inch additional in height when you wear a set of road clipless pedals.
