Sarah
I'm 26 years old and my sister and I are from the Cleveland Ohio area and we want to take a trip down south to see the golf/pacific ocean towards South Carolina or New Orleans. OR maybe a trip up towards Maine or Boston. I'm looking to travel for about 10 days. I'm asking for any suggestions or opinions on the best possible road trip. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on some neat places to stop on the way. I just want to get out and explore the world while we can! Any input would be awesome!! Thanks in advance!
Answer
I'd head to the Northeast lots to do in the area
you can make stops in Niagara Falls (you need apassport for the Canadian Side)
Baseball Hall of Fame Coopertown
New York City
New York State Museum in Albanay
Hpwes Caverns
and suggestions for New England
Suggestions of things to do in Boston
Museums, lots of Museums: The MFA (art) Isabella Stuart Gardner (art) ICA (art) The Aquarium, The Science Museum, Harvard and MIT museums, not to mention all the Historical sites; sites along the Freedom Trail, John Adams House
Check listings for concerts, plays and other events
Red Sox Game,or other sports event
Visit the Harbor Islands, Whale watch, Blue Hills State reservation
shopping, lots of shopping in Quincy Market, Newbury Street or Harvard Square in Cambridge, also visit the insanely overpriced Copley Place Mall
Duck tours
Go to the top of the Prudential Tower for a great view
You might also want to consider taking a side trip to Salem, and see all the witch stuff, the Peabody Essex Museum and the historic site run by the Park Service, the Commuter Rail, which leaves from North Station in Boston, will drop you off right outside the touristy part of Salem
outside the Boston area
Cape Cod/Islands
lots of great beaches
Cape Cod Summer baseball League
lots of small museums
plenty of shopping in most towns
P-Town is the only Cape Cod town with a significant nightlife

What are some things I must do on a road trip around the country?

Austin Kli
Me and my 3 friends are going on a road trip around the circumference of the United States. We are originating from Pittsburgh, PA going through Michigan to Minneapolis then on to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, Seattle, San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Austin TX, New Orleans, Atlanta, Charleston, and then back to Pittsburgh. I am looking for fun and unique places to stop or do along the way. Thank you in advance for all your answers and I will be giving ten points to the best answer.
Answer
Michigan - spend a day visiting Mackinac Island, you will have to take a break from driving and take a ferry boat. There are no cars on the island, only bikes and horses.
