We have already been several times to places like the Alamo, the River Walk, the Mercado.....we are looking for other ideas, maybe "off the beaten path" fun things about San Antonio. Ideas please!!
oh...and we are not interested in the amusement parks or wax museum...done all that before too.
Answer
I am a native San Antonian also and have done the typical tourist things alot. But a couple of weeks ago we were visiting my brother who lives behind Mission San Jose, they had bike trails there and it was a beautiful Saturday morning, so we decided to tour the missions again. We had not done it in years. We went to Espada, Conception, San Jose and we had a great time talking with the tourists about our great city.. I recommend it. We enjoyed the whole day out there. The bike trails are nice and seeing the missions again brought back memories of our childhood when we went on school trips. Saturdays in October are very pleasant and mild temperatures. Take your walking shoes and remember one of the things that make our city unique.
