The tires are so rotted that I cannn=ot read them, thanks for the rim tip.
I stopped at a hiigh end bike shop last year. with what seemed tohave everything and would have expected they would know or know how to find some and they told me that they did not think I would be able to get some. anymore.
It is a 70's model Varsity I believe....
Answer
Schwinn's use their own tire size, here are two places that deal with their tire size and S4/S5/S6/S7 are their rims so look at the size on your bike or what rims you have.
These are for the most but are the Schwinn Westwind tire brand so it's why they are for so much.

Even though they sell tires to be used for all brands but they do sell Schwinn only tires too and are some of the cheapest tires.

Answer
" On September 11, 2001, Schwinn Company, its assets, and the rights to the brand, together with that of the GT Bicycle, was purchased at a bankruptcy auction by Pacific Cycle, a company previously known for mass-market brands owned by Wind Point Partners.[26] In 2004 Pacific Cycle was, in turn, acquired by Dorel Industries."

" George Simone has a nice situation. He's a corporate VP selling Chinese-made scooters that carry the iconic American Schwinn brand. " -- http://www.dealernews.com/dealernews/Breaking+News/Schwinn-Plans-Larger-Displacement/ArticleStandard/Article/detail/522815
The Schwinn name has been sold and is now totally meaningless. Indeed, naming a cheap product with an old respected name simply shows how dishonest and untrustworthy the company is. Think about it, if the product was good, why deceive as to where it is made?
The new Schwinns are China made junk. I would rather have a used Vespa than a new Schwinn. I would rather have a new pair of boots than a used Schwinnn.
