I have to explain it for an assignment.

I just don't know how to say it.

thanks

Answer
Climbing trees is beneficial because it provides exercise for the muscles of the arms and legs. It also gives a sense of accomplishment and independence when the child reaches higher than they thought they could go. Overcoming a fear of heights is also an benefit; and it builds eye-hand coordination and problem solving skills.

Riding bikes provides great aerobic exercise and keeps children physically active. It is also a lot of fun and a great social activity. There is also the sense of independence and freedom; before I obtained my drivers license my bicycle was the means by which I went to see friends and to travel to town.

How old can a child ride a street bike (passenger)?
I am planning to buy a street bike like this one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/mcy/1891⦠. I am wondering if it is legal to let them ride with me as a passenger. Some of my friends said that it is ok,but some says no. I have a 9 year old and a 13 year old.

Answer
I can't see the bike.
As for the question, most every state requires that the passenger must reach the footrests.
Note that nothing states they must be in the original stock position.
My son started riding with me at age six, with re-located footpegs.

Since you didn't know this, I'm believing you are a beginner and may not know how to ride yet.
An MSF or state sponsored course is highly recommended - required for licensing in some states.
Before carrying any passenger, you must be able to ride well.
I suggest riding for at least 6 months before considering carrying a passenger.
Lots of riding.

Where you live is a factor in what the law is. While most states have the same laws, each makes their own. This can lead to differences.
