Is riding a stationary bike 30-45 minutes 5 days a week going to help me loose weight?

I've bought a stationary bike about 2 months ago.. I've been riding it on and off for 30-45 minutes every week day... i started to loose weight in the begining, but not my weight just seems to go up and down... i'm getting really tired of it... is this going to really help?
for the idiot who said i should keep my mouth shut when i'm eating... just because i am trying to loose weight doesnt mean i'm a uncontrolable cow who cant stop eating....

Riding a stationary bike can help, but as you seem to have discovered it can be quite boring. If you don't really like bike riding then riding indoors is likely not for you. You may check out spinning courses which could add some fun and variety to your program and may help you to like what you are doing. Exercise of course can only help you if your calorie intake remains the same or is lowered. It seems like you just need to find a routine that is fun for you and that you can stick with. When you do you will progress. Good luck

A 30 min ride is not very much work it up to 60 min and ride at a good pace and you will see better results. Depending on your weight you only burn 30-35 calories per mile. That's 100 miles to lose a pound. A good diet is more important then cycling.
