How long is park maisonneuve?

MadHatter

I want to know how much I jog around the bike track please.

The park is in Canada Montreal, Quebec.

Answer
'The "loop" section of the bicycle path is 3.1 km long. This does not include the path outside the fenced area, along Sherbrooke St.'

However if you want to do it more accurately, go to Google Earth and use the path tool and you can create your own path that you jog on and it will tell you its length. Or buy a pedometer!

Where should I stay in Vermont?

I'm driving from Boston to Quebec City and then from Montreal to Boston. Can anyone recommend areas/hotels in Vermont, other than Burlington, that might be nice to stay for night? Just want to go for walks, have a good meal, a comfortable hotel or maybe do some antiquing, something like that. Thanks.

Check out Stowe. It's a very touristy town, with plenty of antiquing, a bike path, lots of places to eat, and very rustic-feeling. Also, it's pretty expensive, but you might find some good deals online since it's no longer ski season. PLENTY of resorts, bed&breakfasts, motels, etc.

I prefer the town of Greensboro, which is right on Lake Caspian -- my favorite lake in the state (it helps that I grew up near there). It's also pretty expensive to stay there, but if you want to splurge on a GREAT place, the Highland Lodge is awesome (right on the lake). There are other bed&breakfast places in the area, too. The town has at least one antique shop, lots of local artisans, and a cute old-timey general store. The neighboring town, Hardwick, has recently become famous for its local food system, so check out Claire's restaurant, which serves a ton of local food, and if you're there on friday afternoon, Hardwick has a very vibrant farmer's market.

Lately, my favorite restaurant has been The East Side in Newport, Vermont. It's on Lake Memphremagog, right near the Canadian border, and right off of I-91, so it's easy to get to. The restaurant itself is actually on the lake -- people boat down from Canada and dock their boats on the restaurant's dock. Isn't that cool?? The food is very reasonably priced and quite good -- especially their brunch!! As for the rest of the town of Newport... well, it has a very nice waterfront area, and there are a few nice little stores in town. The town doesn't exactly cater to tourists the way Stowe and Greensboro do, but on the bright side, that means everything will be way cheaper. The Newport City Motel gets good reviews on yahoo travel, but I've never been there. There are other B&B options around there too.

I think pretty much anywhere you go in Vermont will give you lots of beautiful mountain views and picturesque places to go for a walk. Especially northern Vermont, which I think is the prettiest part of the state.
