I'm 5' 7", would a road bike with a 58cm frame be too big for me?

Reebo Blue
I found a cheap deal on a used 58cm bike and don't know if I should even bother checking out the bike or not.
Answer
Buying a bike that's too big for you is a fools game even if it seems like it's a good deal. You won't enjoy riding it and it could even be unsafe. It will certainly be uncomfortable. Go to a GOOD bike shop and ask their advise. Proper sizing is far more complicated than just the length from the center of the bottom bracket to the top tube.
Using your height alone I would start out looking for 52cm or 53cm. But that depends on the type of bike, your flexibility, the length of your legs vs your torso, arm length and other factors.
