I know these bikes aren't as good as trek, bianchi, giant, or specialized, but my budget is only 600 dollars, and I'm just looking for good entry level bike. I'm not buying these bikes off amazon, I'm getting it off nashbar. The schwinn costs around 450 after coupon and the mongoose is like 550 after coupon, which one should I get? The mongoose has slightly better components, but is the frame as good as schwinn's?

Seriously go with the Mongoose! It is better equipped, barely but it is and why do you need to buy thru Amazon, go directly to the source! Bike Nashbar is Owned by Performance bike and between the two you probably want to actually get fitted on a live in your face bike anyway (recommended) I never suggest anyone buy a bike over the internet as you never know what you will end up with. Look for a Performance location close to you and see what they can do for you on this one. Do you really want to have to go through the hassle of a return, especially through Amazon when you can go directly to the source the first time?
Buy your watches, jewelry and the like from Amazon - get the bikes at the store - you wont regret this great advise, or will you?
